Material Development Engineer Job Vacancy

Bsc / B. Tech Chemical Engineering with Polymer science.
3 years technical experience including thermoplastic compounds formulations and testing in flexible PVC and polyethylene essential.
2 years cable manufacturing experience

Create and maintain material purchasing and delivery specification to reflect the most current specification

Evaluate and secure approvals and release of raw materials (existing and new materials)

Development of most cot efficient thermoplastic and cross-linkable cable insulation, bedding and sheathing materials in full compliance with cable specification

Lead cost minimization and performance enhancement projects of cable compounds and other cable materials

Manage materials development laboratory

Establish and maintain close technical relationship with materials and service suppliers

Perform supplier audits (both existing and potential suppliers)

Provide in-house technical expertise and opinion on materials used in the manufacture and application of cables. This may include customer complaints

Create and maintain internal procedures and specifications for specialized non routine testing of cable materials

Analyze competitor products for benchmarking purposes

Development of most cost efficient thermoplastic and cross-linked cable compounds, evaluation and release of cable materials, creation and maintenance of materials purchasing specification.
