Job Requirements:
Grade 12 qualification is essential.
Knowledge of CPT and ICD codes, as well as medical aid schemes is recommended.
Typing skills and computer literacy essential.
Experience in a switchboard and reception environment will be advantageous.
Planning and organising skills.
Good interpersonal communication skills
Fluency in English and/or Afrikaans.
Independant decision-making skills.
Client service orientated.
Ability to function effectively in a team.
Willing/able to work shifts, including night shift when required.

Key Outputs:
Admission and discharge of patients.
Updating of Admissions Register.
Confirmation/authorisation as well as Registration of patients with medical aid schemes via the medical aid system (internet) or telephonically.
Coding of Diagnosis and Procedures.
Issuing of receipts for payments received from patients.
Updating the alphabetical Patient List and preparing Patient Files.
Liaising with Medical Practitioners and medical aid schemes.
Professional handling of counter queries.
