3 Year Apprentice Training Programme in Various Trades

City of Cape Town Recruitment 

The City of Cape Town has an Apprenticeship opportunity in Instrumentation, Boilermaker, Fitter and Tuner, Welder and Carpenter.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE APPRENTICESHIP (ENGINEERING):

1. A minimum NTC3 Technical qualification (Relevant trade theory, Mathematics, Engineering Science and any fourth subject) with Grade 12 (Pure Maths, Physics and English) OR Four Engineering related subjects relevant to the trade at N3 Level including Maths and Science OR NCV Level 4 (Engineering) OR Technical Matric with Maths and Science Proficient in English

2. Proficient in English

3. The ability and willingness to learn

4. The ability to display a real interest in the Engineering field

5. Enthusiasm, determination and strong commitment to self-development, satisfying the required working needs of the City Of Cape Town

6. Drivers licence would be an added advantage

7. Any applicant who is qualified in a specific trade already will not be considered

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE APPRENTICESHIP (CONSTRUCTION):

1. A minimum grade 11 (Std 9) Academic or Technical School qualification with minimum of 50% in Maths or 65% in Maths Literacy OR Four Construction related subjects at N2 level including the relevant trade and Mathematics passes at minimum 50% OR NCV Level 4 (Construction)

2. Proficient in English

3. The ability and willingness to learn

4. The ability to display a real interest in the Construction field

5. Enthusiasm, determination and strong commitment to self-development, satisfying the required working needs of the City Of Cape Town

6. Drivers licence would be an added advantage

7. Any applicant who is qualified in a specific trade already will not be considered

General Information:

• Qualifying candidates will be required to write an assessment
• Selected candidates will be required to undergo a medical examination
