Milpark and CA Connect have joined forces and are developing ground-breaking online solutions in SAICA-accredited accounting (CA) education.
Our online SAICA-accredited CTA and Bridging course combine the best aspects of supported and guided contact education, together with the flexibility and access of distance and online education.

In 2019, we launched the first fully online SAICA-accredited CTA and Bridging programme in South Africa. Both programmes have been well received by the market and seen consistent growth in student number year on year.

Our programmes are growing, and we are looking for junior lecturers and academic trainees on an annual contract basis that are interested in joining a high-performance culture in each of our 4 core disciplines, namely:
•Management Accounting & Finance,
•Corporate Governance & Auditing.
Each position sits within the Department of Professional Accounting and will join the existing subject teams.
Each team is responsible for delivering and supporting all aspects of the discipline in the Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA / CTA) and Bridging programmes while aligning with our core values.
The role includes teaching and learning design and material development; video recording; facilitation of individual and group live online sessions with students; written and online student support; assessment setting; marking and self-development through study / research and community involvement.
Milpark’s head office is in Claremont, Cape Town but there is scope for flexible and online working arrangements if staff have a suitable working environment and reliable internet access.
Key Selection Criteria:
•Emotional intelligence with an aptitude and desire to build colleague and student relationships though compassion and genuine care.
•An industrious and gregarious attitude with the ability and interest to learn and innovate.
•A strong ability to collaborate in a decentralised team with excellent communication skills.
•Developed IT competence with the propensity to build relationships (in person and remotely).
•Propensity for academic innovation and leadership.
•An interest in further study / academic research.
•A track record of being able to work independently on an outcome’s basis and complete tasks without close supervision.
•To work outside the office:

Education & Experience Requirements:
Academic trainee contract:
•At minimum a completed SAICA accredited CTA and eligibility to write SAICA’s ITC or expected CTA completion in 2021.
•A signed 3-year SAICA training contract that starts in 2021. (Ideally also a discussion with the firm where you are signed that they would be willing to release you from Year 1 of your training contract.)
•A track record of above average academic performance.
•If you did not complete, Milpark’s CTA, a recommendation from the head of department (or equivalent) of the university at which your CTA was completed.
•Demonstrable ethical behaviour.
