Job Title: Maintenance PLC Technician

Vacancy Details

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Reporting to the Lead Robotics and Automation
• Responsible for effective operation of all machinery and equipment at our factory
• Repairing breakdowns on mechanical and electrical equipment to reduce production stoppage time.

 

Candidate Requirements:

• Trade Tested Artisan (Instrumentation / Electrician) with proven experience in maintenance and programming of manufacturing equipment. (5 years’ experience)
• Or mechatronics/light current engineer with practical PLC programming and troubleshooting ( 3 years’ experience)
• Have Matric with Mathematics, Physical Sciences or N3 in a Technical field,
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi PLC / Drives experience is essential.
• Have a strong electrical background.
• Experience on PLC’s and drives fault finding.
• Be hands-on and able to work in a pressurized environment.
• Be prepared to work shifts and overtime when requested,
• Have good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and able to use own initiative,
• Be a team player
• Have good communication skills.
• General Knowledge of the OHS Act.
