Job Summary:
1. Manages the collection of debts as determined by credit policies and procedures.
2.Manages arrears through the restructuring of the loan features.
3.Engages legal assistance and advice for management of bad debt and collections across all loan and credit products.
4.Enhances debt recovery mechanisms.
5.Manages Collection service providers
6.Initiates appropriate actions to recover monies due to the Bank to minimize potential losses
7.Monitors ageing of the banks total loan book and recommends appropriate action on all delinquent accounts to minimize BSB’s exposure to substandard/delinquent accounts.
8.Provides leadership, training and supervision within the department.
9.Performs supervisory duties of department staff, coordinate staff for coverage in related areas of the department.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Banking/ Business Studies. In addition, professional qualification in credit.
Three (3) years post qualification experience in a credit analysis environment preferably in a financial institution.
Operational knowledge in credit.
To identify non performing loans and initiate appropriate action to minimise potential losses.
Recommend referrals to debt collectors, write offs, stopping/suspension of interest and blacklisting.
