Fidelity Services Group Guarding Division

Role:  Credit Manager – Guarding and Security Services Division

Reporting to:  Chief Financial Officer – Guarding and Security Services Division

 

Main Job Purpose:

To provide efficient and effective Credit management support to the Guarding Division, by planning, organising, leading, and controlling activities to ensure collections are maximized and bad debt is kept to the minimum.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric Certificate minimum plus Degree Equivalent
  • Post Graduate Quantification will be advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Senior Manager.
  • Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
  • Ability to form close working relationships with all departments in the business.
  • Strong planning, forecasting, and reporting modelling skills.
  • Ability to quickly analyse and raise financial risk to the business.
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills (including power point).
  • Demonstrable experience of generating ideas and formulating strategies.
  • Strong PC and MS Office Suite skills
  • Attention to detail and methodical approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment.
  • Must be a team player with a pleasant disposition.
  • Must have own transport and willing to travel Nationally.
  • Understanding of the Guarding and Security Environment
  • Good appreciation of credit recovery and financial skills
  • Ability to engage with customers and stakeholders at all levels.

 

Jobs Objectives

  • Responsible for efficient collections for the guarding credit control division.
  • Review of credit control processes to implement and ensure standardization and best practices across the guarding division.
  • Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
  • To streamline collections process for on boarding of new clients.
  • Reviewing and structuring of client portfolios.
  • Measure and review performance of all guarding credit controllers.
  • To provide training and development nationally. To manage training sessions, workshops, and credit management courses to upskill and empower.
  • To ensure applicable guarding DSO target is maintained.
  • To manage outstanding debtors in 60-150 days.
  • To manage Bad Debt / CSA (451) credit provisions on a monthly basis.
  • Leading with the Implementation of Technology to enhance efficiencies and drive down costs
  • To manage the annual Debtor’s competition.
  • To manage the preparations for Financial Year End and audits.
  • To provide reports on a weekly basis to the respective Business partners.
  • To prepare the monthly Board Pack for the guarding division.
  • Responsible to review and submit credit management reports to EXCO.
  • Responsible to review and submit risk reports to EXCO quarterly.
  • Responsible to review and submit possible non-payment reports.
  • Reviewing of client contracts and alignment with legal team to ensure payments are received as per stipulated terms.
  • To maintain a balanced relationship with the Legal department and credit control.
  • Co-ordinating of daily and weekly meetings within the guarding division. Ensuring escalation to respective business partners (GM, FM, CFO, Regional executives, COO, GFD and GCEO)
  • Attend Client meetings nationally.
  • Responsible to attend all Finance / Risk committee meetings.
  • Responsible for Client events and client development.
  • Responsible for succession planning for business contingency purpose.
  • Responsible for vetting and approval of monthly commissions, quarterly incentives, and DSO incentives.
  • Responsible to raise business at risk.
