To coordinate, promote financial literacy and provide technical support to all aspects of an Interactive Consumer Financial Education Website as well as the Financial Sector Conduct Authority’s Retirement Fund Trustee Education E-learning Toolkit. The person appointed to this position will report to the Manager.

 

 

 

 

Job Title: DIGITAL MEDIA COORDINATOR : CONSUMER EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

Job Summary:
•Write, review and post approved financial literacy content for a variety of platforms (digital and traditional), audiences and media outlets which includes instructional design, editing digital images, designing page layouts, and using electronic publishing software;
•Continuously review, update and populate the content and design elements of the FSCA’s Customer Financial Education Interactive Website;
•Create an online presence for the CED by making use of digital media software and visual communication skills;
•Conduct research, coordinate and manage project-based activities, and provide support to the CED team;
•Design and implement innovative social media and Internet-based promotional campaigns in support of Consumer Financial Education projects;.
•Assist the Manager and Departmental Head to establish, implement and maintain proper relationships with customers pre and post a CFE event/activity online; and
•Work closely with ICT, Communication & Liaison, and other Departments of the FSCA.

Other Key Competencies:
The candidate must demonstrate the following skills and attributes: knowledge of education methodology, current industry-specific technologies and online learning and communication techniques like search engine optimization (SEO). Proficiency in digital and publishing software. Strong eye for technical design of media platforms and digital pedagogy of financial customers. Understanding of customer financial literacy topics such as budgeting, savings, debt, scams, grants, insurance, pension, credit vs cash and recourse mechanisms. Strong organisational and project management skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills; Proven experience in public education programmes; Ability to work within a team and to take initiative.

Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree / diploma in Commerce, Education, Public Relations and Digital Media, Communication Science or equivalent, with at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in financial services industry, financial literacy education, E-learning field, Instructional Design and Desktop Publishing. SharePoint software experience will be an advantage.
