Travelling Teacher for an International Private Family
We are excited to invite enthusiastic and experienced International Teachers to join this family’s educational journey. As a teacher for their 3 home schooled daughters you will play a pivotal role in fostering their curiosity and passion for learning. The family embraces a joyful and travel-oriented lifestyle, with homes across France, Costa Rica, and Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging and impactful tutoring sessions for the 3 children (Ages 8, 6 and 4).
- Be a team player while working in collaboration with another teacher, and child cares.
- Develop project-based, problem-solving, and challenge-driven lessons that deviate from traditional testing methods.
- Adapt teaching methods to cater to various environments, ensuring flexibility and adaptability.
- Design and implement activities tailored to the individual interests and learning styles of each child.
- Encourage critical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving skills, fostering and developing a growth mindset.
- Create a love for STEM subjects by designing hands-on experiments and projects.
- Collaborate closely with parents and other educators to craft interdisciplinary, project-based curricula.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Native English speaker with English as a first language.
- Training and experience in the Cambridge Assessment International curriculum.
- Experience and training in the Montessori Curriculum.
- Experience teaching elementary-level students is preferred.
- Background in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) subjects, with computer science skills.
- Experience teaching elementary level
- Patience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to varying international environments.
- Adept at differentiating instruction to challenge gifted students and promote real-world applications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to make STEM subjects engaging and accessible.
- Passionate about inspiring a lifelong love for learning.
- Comfortable with international travel and adjusting to new cultural contexts.
- Flexibility around leave / holiday time will be required
- Proactive, easy-going, and a dedicated team player.
- Valid Passport Required – European Passport will be an advantage
