The Senior IT Technician within Fundi is a wide and varied role, taking in IT systems management, monitoring and support across the entire company. The senior IT Technician will be the first point of contact for all IT support incident escalations and problem management within Fundi and should be able to manage expectations in problematic scenarios as well as day to day support such as monitoring all critical systems and effectively respond to any alerts.

Salary: R 7.00 – 7.00 Annually
.Effectively, professionally, and respectfully represents other Information Technology staff members, teams and their services to employees and external customers and partners.
.Verifies that suggested solutions effectively resolve the users’ problems through verbal or email follow up.
.Provides problem resolution and support for all Information Technology products, services, and policy. Support includes:
.Logging all ICT related issues
.Resolving or escalating all issues
.Ensuring all issues are resolved and calls closed with SLA
.Ensuring calls logged are assigned timeously
.Ensuring workloads on IT Helpdesk and Projects are efficiently assigned
.Ensuring there is timeous feedback to clients on calls logged
.Answering questions, troubleshooting problems, teaching, or instructing customers regarding software or hardware functionality
.Resolving difficulties with respective internal and/or external providers
.Determining the most effective manner to resolve customer’s technical issue.
.Escalates complex and/or high priority problems to the appropriate level for resolution when needed, but the Senior IT Technician is responsible to ensure that an effective solution is provided to the Availability outside of normal business hours if required for medium to high priority requests, incidents, and planned changes
.To technically guide junior IT technical staff
.To lead by example in attitudes displayed and execution of tasks in the IT department
.Updating and auditing employee information
Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or related
IT professional certification would be added advantage (e.g., networking, cloud infrastructure, backup operations, cybersecurity, ITIL, etc.)
At least 4-5 years of experience in experience in IT infrastructure or technical support.
