Essence of the job:

Reporting to the Retentions Manager, the Retentions Team Leader will be responsible for implementing customer retention programmes and initiatives to increase loyalty and retain business. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing a team of Retentions Agents who contribute to company’s strategic deliverables through ensuring successful collection of premiums in an endeavor to retain company’s Life’s core customer base by driving retention and upselling of company Products.

 

Required Skills

  • Sales Experience: 2 to 3 years
  • Retentions/Collections: 5 to 6 years

 

Candidate Requirements

Qualification

  • NQF Level 7: Bachelor’s degree in sales, customer service, or related field
  • RE5

 

Minimum Requirements 

  • Falling under the Life business, Employee Benefits experience a must! (not Short Term)
  • Must currently be a team leader too.
  • 5 – 7 years retentions/ collections within insurance industry (Essential)
  • 2 – 3 years Sales experience (Essential)
  • Ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders on all levels
  • Ability to multitask
  • Experience in sales, customer retention or customer service, ideally with up- selling and cross-selling within in the insurance sector
  • Creating retention campaigns, along with the Retentions Manager
  • Setting daily targets and assigning customers to the team
  • Providing monthly KPI feedback and providing the necessary training and guidance to all staff and underperformers where necessary
  • Typically from a liberty background etc.
