The Kamoa Copper Mine, is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It’s a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Equipment Engineer. Play your part in our team succeeding… To plan, organise and ensure the execution of all maintenance and service work for Smelter Plant mechanical equipment in support of production. You will be acting as a SME. The scope/portfolio of this role includes, improving departmental trouble-shooting and analysis capabilities, proposing solutions, supervising and guiding the Equipment Inspectors at different plants, and generally enabling the availability of Plant equipment.

You will have the following:

• A Bachelor’s in Engineering, Mechanical with being,
• Fluent in Mandarin and English, with at least
• 5 years’ relevant experience, ideally in a smelting maintenance environment with 2 years’ supervisory experience

You will have advanced skills and knowledge in:

• Mechanical Operation, Control, Maintenance and Smelting equipment and related equipment
• Production and Smelter Standard Operating Procedures
• Original Equipment Manufacturer operation

Technical Skills should include:

• Mechanical Engineering knowledge
• Trouble-shooting/ Maintenance
• Production knowledge
• Production Standard Operating Procedures

• Function ad a Mechanical Engineering subject matter expert
