Vacancy Details

Managed People Solutions is looking to hire a Vibrant, Energetic and Enthusiastic Mechanical Designer to Join the Mechanical Design Team.
The ideal candidate should be well versed with Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing 3D modelling and detailing. The candidate will be working alongside a multidisciplinary engineering team in which critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• 2D Droughting.
• Piping Isometrics.
• Drawing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams
• Design Layouts for Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants.
• Equipment selection.
• Mechanical Equipment R&D
• 3D Modelling of Structural Steel and Piping.
• Sheet metal design.
• Manufacturing Drawings.
• Creating Bill of Materials.
• Installation Drawings.
• Communicating with Project Managers, Production Managers, and Installation teams.
• Collaborating and working together in a team.
• Understand and apply fundamental mechanical knowledge.

 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

• Mechanical Engineering Diploma, MDDOP or similar qualification.
• Experience with 2D modelling software: AutoCAD, BricsCAD
• Experience with 3D modelling software: SolidWorks and BricsCAD preferable.
• Experience in creating manufacturing drawings with Bill of Materials.
• Experience in the design of Weldment Assemblies, Pipe Routing, and Sheet Metal components.
• Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Office, and Word.
• 3 Years relevant work experience.

Skills

• Be able to work without supervision.
• Candidate must be task orientated.
• Good communication skills
• Quick learner
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.
