Opportunity Available!! Our leading client in the Logistics Sector is looking to employ a Microsoft Developer to join their dynamic team in Durban.

Job Description: 

• Application development (web, SQL, mobile, etc) for multiple projects
• Enforce change control and system development life cycles
• Help drive software development best practices from technology selection and workflow to coding standards
• Help accelerate adoption of standards and new technologies
• Ensure all software development is managed under change and version control and release management
• Interact with other team members for assistance and provide project report information and/or reports to management
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve problems with application programs
• Translate functional specifications into technical specifications
• Code and test work according to standards
• Consistently complete work within estimated timeframes
• Maintain a high standard of quality for all deliverables
• Perform specification and code reviews to ensure that solutions are appropriate and that standards are being followed
• Ability to effectively communicate with business and technical teams at all levels
• Provide assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.
• Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations and user guides
• Produce technical documentation for new and existing
  applications
• Participate in scheduled meetings with the IT team to discuss progress and issues to be resolved, and report progress to the relevant managers.
• Be involved in the design phase of any new IT software
  development projects
• Assist in the creation of the system design and functional
  specifications for all new development projects
• Assist in addressing and resolving IT software issues
• Ensure appropriate standards and procedures are adhered to during the development process to support a quality deliverable

Job Requirements: 

• Matric (Grade 12) Level of education
• A relevant formal qualification required e.g. Software Engineering Diploma or Computer Science Degree
• 2 Years proven experience in a Microsoft development
• environment (Studio.Net, VB.Net, MS SQL, web, etc) essential.
• Microsoft Development Certification (eg MCSD) would be advantageous
• Microsoft Azure development experience would be advantageous
• Mobile App development experience would be advantageous
• Interface and business automation / workflow development experience would be advantageous.
• Successfully pass a technical assessment
• Willingness and ability to learn new technology and find the right tool for the job
• Availability to work irregular hours as demanded by the nature of the operation would be a requirement
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, interpersonal and teamwork skills, written and verbal communication skills, flexibility adaptability and initiative.
