Our client, market leader in the Supply Chain sector is seeking a Supply ChainDirector, based in Durban

The successful candidate will report to the CEO

Purpose of the role:  

• To drive the achievement of the Business’s Supply Chain strategies
• To direct the overall Supply Chain Intelligence function including supply chain strategy, supply chain optimization, data analytics, business intelligence and innovation
• To direct the Supply Chain Planning and Coordination function including Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and International Planning (imports and exports facilitation)

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Appropriateundergraduate Degree or equivalent Tertiary qualification  
• Min 15 years’ experience with 5 years at Senior Management / Executive level within the FMCG / Supply Chain sector – including planning and distribution functions
• Experience in client and stakeholder engagement and Supply Chain Strategy advantageous

Knowledge:

• Supply Chain principles, practices, and tools
• Demand and Supply Planning principles and tools
• Warehouse and Transport network optimisation principles
• Multiple key performance indicators, inter-relationships, and bottom-line sensitivity
• Statistical modelling
• Information Technology applications, standards and principles, methodologies, and procedures
• Industry standards and statutory and regulatory requirements associated with SHEQ

• Verbal and written communication
• Report writing & Presentation skills
• Negotiation & Networking skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Abe to synthesize information from disparate sources and deliver comprehensive, balanced, and actionable analysis
