We are currently seeking a professional and experienced Senior Network & IT System Engineer to join our Regional Group IT team.

 

 

 

 

 

Job Title: Senior Network & IT System Engineer
Location: Bryanston

Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for administering, building, testing and operating ICT infrastructure platform and services for all sites across Africa and Europa (networks, servers, storages). Responsible for Oryx Energies Level 3 IT support.

Main Responsibilities:
Maintain, design and improve security networks for the Group.
Operational support of ICT infrastructure such as servers, storages and networks for all sites
Level 3 support for all sites.
Responsible of Oryx Group projects for all sites under Group IT Infrastructure Manager responsibility.
Follow the company information systems strategic plan and direction, and specifically for meeting the current and future ICT infrastructure needs of the Oryx Group.
Implement and execute the relevant processes for the efficient and professional delivery of the ICT infrastructure services.
Maintain standards, implementation, and operation of ICT platforms & communication systems.
Follow IT Group policies and IT Group standards.
Monitor and maintain security and integrity of information technology systems.

Desired Experience & Qualification:
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree level in Computers Science or related field.
5 to 8 year’s minimum of experience in a similar position.
4-5 travels to Africa sites will be required
International Experience is an asset
Excellent understanding of ITIL process
Hands-on
Self-motivated, independent person while also being a string team player
Flexible,
Proactive
Customer oriented
Solution-oriented
Excellent communication skills
Fluency in English, French an asset
