TEAM LEADER TO PROCESSING CLERKS REF NO: TLPC/MILP/2014/11-1C
Military Pension Division
SALARY : R183 438 per annum (Basic salary) plus 37% in lieu of benefits 12 months
contract
CENTRE : Pretoria

REQUIREMENTS : An appropriate 3 year tertiary qualification (in Administration) with two years
proven administration experience in the Employee Benefit/Retirement Fund/Life
Insurance/Medical administration environment OR A Senior Certificate coupled
with 5 years proven administration experience in the Employee
Benefit/Retirement Fund/Life Insurance/Medical administration environment.
Knowledge and experience of CIVPEN will be an added advantage. Knowledge
of the Government Employees Pension Law, rules and policies governing the
GEPF will be an advantage. Knowledge of the Military Pensions Act will be an
added advantage. Computer literacy that would include a good working
knowledge of Microsoft products, especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Supervisory experience will be an advantage. Excellent communication skills
(written and verbal). Must be able to take responsibility. Must be able to work
independently, but must know when assistance is required. Must be able to work
under pressure and adhere to due dates. Good interpersonal relations.
Customer service orientation. Attention to detail. Deadline driven. Integrity,
reliability and honesty.

 

DUTIES : The incumbent will be responsible for the overseeing of the work of various
Administrative Clerks Processing and for the verification of correspondence and
data captured and includes the following but are not limited to: Verify and confirm
data received from the Pensioners. Verify duplicate document information on
CIVPEN. Confirm if data was accurately captured on CIVPEN. Verify correspondence typed to members. Maintenance of existing records. Assist with enquiries from various stakeholders. Maintain the list of records updated on an
Excel spreadsheet. Maintain the list of outstanding records not updated on an
Excel Spreadsheet. Provide management reports on records updated and finalised.
