Vacancy Details

Our client based in Silvertondale is looking for a candidate to join their growing financial team

 

Duties:

• Capturing of financial GL entries for multiple companies
• Capturing of multiple bank statements and reconciling them with general ledger entries
• Keeping an eye on and reconciling incoming payments from accounts receivable and outgoing payments to accounts payable
• Checking of payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements and ensure proper and mandated business sign off
• Creating company financial reports with the above information included
• Analysing data collected to determine the state of the company’s financial health
• Generating financial reports that display the companies’ profits, assets, liabilities, equity and cash flow
• Calculating and submitting of taxes (VAT, PAYE & Income TAX) and other regulatory financial obligations
• Fixed Asset Register maintenance
• General ledger maintenance
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Daily cash flow management and forecasting
• Budget vs Actual reporting
• Loading of payments on the bank
• Audit readiness (compile audit files and audit journals)
• Report directly to Financial Manager

 

Candidate Requirements

Education:

Diploma/ Degree in Finance or Accounting

 

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 3 – 5 years’ experience in a full finance function role
• Strong computer literacy
• Attention to detail
• Ability to successfully manage several different tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment
• Team player
