TECHNICAL ASSISTANT: CONSTRUCTION, EXPLOSIVES AND MAJOR
HAZARD INSTALLATIONS 2 POSTS NO: HR 4/4/14/6/07HO
Directorate: Construction, Explosives and Major Hazard Installations
SALARY : R227 802 per annum
CENTRE : Head Office

REQUIREMENTS : Three year tertiary qualification in Construction Management / Civil Engineering
/ Chemical Engineering or Chemistry. An Honours Degree or B Tech Degree
will be an added advantage. Valid drivers licence. Two years relevant
experience. Knowledge: Departmental Policies and procedures ,Batho Pele
Principles , Public Service Act and Regulations, OHS ACT and Regulations,
OHSAS, COIDA ,ISO 18001. Skills: Facilitation , Planning and Organizing,
Computer literacy , Interpersonal, Problem Solving, Interviewing, listening and
observation, Presentation , Innovative , Analytical, Research , Project management.

 

DUTIES : Conduct research into the development of Construction, Explosives and Major
Hazard Installations policies. Analyze and assess inspection trends for
Construction, Explosives and Major Hazard Installations periodically as per
OHS programme. Conduct technical research on trends of Occupational Health
and Safety in terms of Construction, Explosives and Major Hazard Installations.
Provide administrative support to ensure that objectives of the directorate are fulfilled.
