Job Summary:
The Finance Manager is a crucial partner on the team and provides financial leadership, business partnering, cost centre management and a diverse range of financial projects in support of the Wilderness Air strategy and objectives. This role is a key contact for driving budgets, financial controls and forecasts, financial planning and analysis, and will also provide strategic insight and guidance while ensuring an appropriate control environment. They guide management in making sound financial business decisions in the long and short term. This position reports to the Regional Finance Officer.

Requirements:

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
•Management of Wilderness Air and Sefofane Aviation Holdings finance team
•Recruitment, management and development of finance staff
•On time submission of monthly accounts, along with which goes:
-Provision of accurate and timeous financial information
-Maintenance of accurate and complete accounting records
-Preparation of monthly management accounts commentaries
-Managing the month-end process
-Preparation and submission of monthly group reporting packs
•Working capital management, including Bank and Cash, Accounts Receivables, Inventory and Accounts Payables as well as all the associated processes
•Processing of group related and third party revenue
•Reviewing work done by junior staff and ensuring it meets Wilderness Air’ minimum quality standards
•Tax compliance including preparation and submission of all relevant tax returns (VAT, WHT, Income Tax, deferred tax calculations.)
•Preparation and review of cash availability reports and monthly Cash Flows
•Implementation and maintenance of effective systems of internal control
•Completion of the quarterly Rolling Forecasts
•Management of the annual year- end audit
•Preparation of year -end audit packs and interim reporting packs
•Management of the Capex process and Fixed Asset Registers

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA etc)
•Advanced Excel
•Computer Literate
•Working/practical knowledge of Botswana Companies Act, Income Tax, VAT, statutory deductions, etc

REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
•At least 3 years’ experience at a managerial level with total responsibility for the complete financial reporting function, or
•External audit experience up to at least Audit Supervisor level
