Time allocation

Teaching and Learning

Conducting Research

Community engagement and Academic Citizenship

Involvement in management of courses

Supervision of Graduate and Doctoral Students

Provides Academic Leadership by guiding mentor, and management of staff colleagues and graduate students

Student support in terms of providing general guidance

Maintains course relevance and appropriateness

Management and administration

Conducting research

Ensure possession of relevant and appropriate academic qualifications

Produces a diversity of research outputs

Initiates, participates and oversee staff involvement in reflective research projects and process

Evaluation ad review of academic work

Management and administration of research projects and processes

Community engagement and Academic citizenship

Participate in community projects

Participates in policy making and faculty meetings

Internal and External Communications with relevant Stakeholders

 

Qualifications:

Masters Degree or Relevant Qualifications

Relevant research and publication experience

5 Years (plus) experience in successful teaching and scholarly at a senior level

Strong understanding of collaborative, ethical, innovative and effective leadership style and a commitment to higher academic standards

Committed ability to promote the Department’s mission and position to internal University constituencies and external stakeholders
