Well established, professional financial firm seeks an analytical, experienced F.P with a Degree or post graduate diploma in financial planning plus RE’s.

Responsible for providing financial advice, conducting financial needs analysis and presenting appropriate solutions to clients. To maintain long-term business relationships with clients, accountable for the advice provided, the advice process and adherence to standard compliance legislation.

Duties:

• Achieving agreed sales objectives
• Development of a prospecting and referral network
• Retention and transferring of clients in outlined time frames
• Identifying customer financial needs & analysis of customer financial data
• Evaluation of financial solutions relative to customer needs
• Presentation of financial solutions to clients
• Conducting regular customer review sessions
• Follow up of any implementation and advice based requirements
• Detailed record keeping which include, inter alia, Records of Advice
• Building sustainable client relationships

 

Required Skills

• Financial Planning: 3 to 4 years

 

Candidate Requirements

• R.E’s obtained
• Thorough understanding of current FICA / FAIS legislation
• Working knowledge of legislation relating to investments, retirement planning and estate planning
• Demonstrate strong communication and inter-personal skills
• Strong analysis skills enabling the identification of needs and the matching of appropriate solutions
• Remain up to date with legislation and new products  (Continued learning)
• Comply with relevant legislation
• Demonstrate sound sales / negotiation skills (proven track record)
• Must be able to develop and maintain a network of clients and prospective clients
• Good presentation skills
• Sound computer skills (MS Suite), Financial Planning software (e.g. Xplan)
