AHRI has an exciting opportunity for a Human capital business partner. The Human capital business partner (HCBP) will partner with functional heads and their management teams to deliver end-to-end human capital services and initiatives.

They will be required to initiate and implement human capital solutions that will improve the functional team and individual effectiveness. This includes minimizing HR risks by ensuring appropriate systems, communication and controls are in place.

The HCBP is also expected to act as an advisor on human capital and organizational changes.

Job Summary:
The incumbent’s physical place of work (base) will be at the AHRI Durban Campus, however, you will be expected to also perform your duties, in our Somkhele Mtubatuba Campus, as needed and appropriate.

1. Advisor and partner to the business unit
2. End to end workforce strategy, planning & control for the respective business unit
3. Manage the talent sourcing and recruitment process for the business unit
4. Define sourcing channels that are best fit and relevant to the various levels
5. Custodian and caretaker of capability building, and deploying innovative learning practices for employees of the Business Unit
6. Succession planning, critical skills, and retention management for the business unit
7. Manage end to end talent performance, culture, and engagement for the business unit
8. Facilitate the working relationship within the business unit to identify solutions for employee relations matters.
9. Management of the performance and development of the team.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
1. A completed diploma/degree in Human Resources Management or relevant field.

Minimum Experience:
1. 5 years of work experience as an HR Business partner
2. Functional experience in workforce management, organizational design, employment equity (diversity and inclusion), employee relations, employee wellness, performance management, policies and procedures, team management,
3. Ability to lead complex projects and initiatives that require multi-level stakeholder engagement
4. Demonstrated experience in leading a team
5. Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with a diverse group of employees, leaders, and stakeholders, both remotely and in-person.
