BackaBuddy is an online fundraising platform that is designed to help individuals raise funds for causes they are passionate about. These causes can range from registered nonprofit organisations to individuals who need funds for a variety of reasons including medical expenses, studies etc. BackaBuddy believes in the power of individual philanthropy and peer to peer giving through technology.

Job Title: Crowdfunding Campaign Coordinator
Job Location: De Waterkant, Cape Town
Start date: As soon as possible
Salary: R5 000 per month
Duration: 3 months’ contract –  To be permanent after successful completion of probation period.

The purpose of the position is to assist the Backabuddy Team in the creation and implementation of online crowdfunding initiatives and campaign management.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development and execution of Backabuddy’s online program to cultivate champions/campaign creators and solicit donations from current and prospective Backabuddy donors
• Manage and produce campaigns for targeted online Backabuddy crowdfunding campaigns
• Work extensively with Backabuddy’s online crowdfunding platform, including: Managing e-mail, Setting up and launching scheduled online campaigns/charities, Maintain campaign/charity pages, Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

•  An interest in crowdfunding /crowdfunding design and online implementation
• Computer Literacy: Knowledge of G-mail and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Commitment to the objectives and mission of the organization
• Analytical, written and verbal communication skills
