Job Title: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURANCE TESTER

Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance Technicians, or Testers, perform a vital role. QA testers run various tests on new software products to ensure that programs satisfy all specifications and requirements. They test, tune, debug and suggest the detailed refinements that ensure quality and ease of use of the finished product.
QA testers apply their knowledge early in the software development process. They work closely with developers to recognize the potential for any operational issues, assess risks, and resolve issues before the new software is complete.QA testers are primarily responsible for checking new software products, for identifying defects or issues and must know which issues are the most important and be able to prioritise them for fixing.QA testers record all defect details, creating and distributing reports outlining the types of defects found and the steps taken to resolve these issues. Maintaining documentation, such as change logs, regarding software and application defects helps QA testers recognize similar problems in the future and to provide quick resolution.Once issues have been resolved, QA testers run additional tests before products are released to Business for testing and signoff.They work to deadlines and must understand production schedules.

Desired Experience & Qualification:
Qualification – Essential:

Grade 12
BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a relevant degree

Qualification – Preferred:

Basic understanding of programming and languages such as C# and Java (list not exaustive)
Test management tools
ITIL Foundations
Familiarity with AGILE methodology
Regretion testing
Certified SoftwareTester

Experience – Essential

1 – 2 Years – working within an IT environment, understanding IT management and functions within

Experience – Preferred:

More than 4 years – In IT related support and QA testing
