RFID Experts Africa is currently seeking a Technical Supporter to join their team. The Technical Supporter will be responsible for the assembly and production of electronic components from various suites of products. They will also be responsible for the quality assurance of the various electronic components and assuring the correct functioning of the products when assembly is completed. Furthermore, they will also be required to provide frontline support to client queries as they pertain to the use of RFID Experts Africa hardware and software products when obstacles are encountered.

Job Summary:
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
Electronic Assembly:
•To assemble and produce high quality electronic components that make up the various products of RFID Experts Africa while ensuring that any faulty or problematic items are flagged early.

Client support & training:
•Provide customers with support to get their operations back up and running
•Help customers with technical input if they do not have the technical knowledge to correct the problem themselves
•Give customers the confidence and knowledge to operate RFID products and better understand the information gained from
using the products
•Help with warranty claims
•Deliver and install equipment and train first time clients with the necessary skills to use the products effectively

Communication with suppliers:
oIf client support exceeds office knowledge to contact them for further assistance
oTesting of new products of suppliers

Purchasing & delivery:
•Collect and deliver correct components to assist in facilitating sufficient stock and production times
•Deliver products to clients in a timely and safe manner

Ad Hoc:
•Provide assistance where required on an Ad Hoc basis
•Assist where necessary to maintain workflow

QUALIFICATIONS/ TRAINING:
•Matric with programming
•Minimum 3 years work experience
•Training in electronic assembly and troubleshooting
•Knowledge of electrical wiring conventions and standards
•Experience with electronics (wiring, soldering, programming)
•Competency in providing customer support

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
•Knowledge of animals and the Agricultural environment
•Knowledge of electrical wiring conventions and standards
•Experience with electronics (wiring, soldering, programming)
•Competency in providing customer support
•Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans
•Valid driver’s licence
•Traveling and installation at client premises throughout South Africa

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
•Electronic assembly
•Understanding of circuitry and electronics

•Schematic diagrams
•Microsoft office
•IT/Coding knowledge. SQL Programming and database manipulation. Control systems.
•Basic radio frequency identification (RFID) knowledge. UHF and LF primarily.
•Basic knowledge of how to assemble and disassemble equipment
•Understanding of circuitry/electronics
•Understanding of AutoCad drawings
