Job Summary:
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive strategy planning and execution
Collaborating with senior executive team to understand the strategic plan and deliver revenue through a regional sales plan.
Lead and manage the regional teams in order to maximize sales revenue, profits and meet or exceed set goals.
Drive the forecasting of annual, quarterly and monthly regional sales plans to ensure achievement of yearly goals.
Through the effective reviewing of financial statements, monthly sales performance, product availability and activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity and profitability, make the necessary changes to the sales plans to improve overall performance.
Lead the regional teams to initiate and implement corrective actions where applicable.
Drive and deliver complete regional sales and operational objectives by providing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements.
Assist in establishing the plan and drive the implementation of changes. Actively lead the regional managers to expand the customer base and retain customers through regular review sessions.
Drive and delivery of product availability and achievement of category profit margins across business focused products.
Manage the implementation of tactful, well articulated trade promotions as scheduled on the interacted activity calendar or as necessary to drive performance of the region.

Drive sales growth and performance:
Manage a successful regional sales service team and ensures that the team consistently meets or exceeds daily sales performance metrics.
Work with Business Executives and Directors to create and maintain a world-class
Sales culture, focused on delivering results by providing ongoing coaching and development of Regional Managers.
Consistently ensures that business is always conducted with integrity and that behaviour aligns with our values.
Analyse performance metrics data and leverage it to effectively coach and develop the regional Sales and Operational teams.
Effectively manage Sales Operations expenses to ensure delivery of internal gross margin goals.
Responsible for the development and implementation of new processes and procedures for effective and efficient team operations.
Direct or coordinate financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiency.
Plan or direct activities such as sales promotions that require coordination with other areas of the business and as and when required to run pilots effectively.
Contribute to marketing plans or strategies as and when required by the business or greater group.

Providing vision and direction to the team members.
Through effective inspirational leadership, facilitate the creation of accountable, full service teams who understand and strive to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
Role model behavior and motivate team members in line with the core values.

EDUCATION:
Matric
Relevant Bachelors’ Degree in Commerce, Sales or Business Management related fields

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 6 years’ experience in similar role
Experience in managing a high performing sales team
