Managing the customer portal by coordination and control of the administrative and operational functions of the Service Support Centre (SSC), the Emergency Communications Centre (ECC) and the Disaster Management Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for Breede Valley Municipality to enable the effective and efficient service delivery according to applicable legislative requirements.

Job Summary:
Duties:
To ensure effective and efficient SSC, ECC and EOC for BVM. To ensure technical functionality of SSC, ECC and EOC. To ensure quality call centre services to all clients in the Breede Valley Municipal area. To ensure that service delivery objectives, through the provision of accurate and up-to date information which enables complaints/ queries to be attended to by operations within the specified turnaround time, are met and to ensure effective record keeping of complaints and be able to provide accurate feedback to managers and ward committees for purposes of annual reportage, departmental statistics etc. To ensure that accurate estimates are prepared in relation to requirements enabling the department to contribute positively towards meeting objectives and sustaining the quality and standards of service delivery. To ensure routine procedural documentation are completed and submitted for processing in accordance with laid down guidelines. To ensure that enquiries are professionally attended to and the necessary guidance or guidelines in terms of procedures accurately communicated to enable compliance.
To ensure efficient communications with all stakeholders. To ensure that human resources needs are identified and attended to, supporting the accomplishment of laid down objectives and compliance with specific standards in terms of productivity and performance.

Requirements:
Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualification in Customer Care/Public administration; Code B Driver’s license, Excellent computer skills (MS Word), In-depth knowledge of different software systems, Proficient in at least 2 of the 3 official languages in the Western Cape, Good communication and conflict handling skills, Knowledge of municipal functionalities, People management skills, interpersonal and communications skills, Able to investigate and respond to customer complaints, Handle extraordinary issues patiently and calmly, Organize and prioritize a complex workload and to work strictly in terms of deadlines, Strong verbal and communications skills, Candidate will be evaluated by undertaking an inbox test evaluation comprising of written test and scenario-based computer and practical evaluation, Attention to detail.

Experience: 3-year relevant experience in a municipal environment.
