Our client has an opportunity for a high-performance Engineer (Electrical, Control & Instrumentation) seeking a challenging and fast-paced work environment. Our client, a forward-thinking company in mineral processing, is driven by solutions and constantly striving for greener approaches to mining practices. With a focus on ultra-fine mineral recovery, they excel in Projects and Engineering services, Operations Management, and Process Equipment.Responsibilities:

• Work with control systems and industrial software to assist in control systems within mineral processing plants in the mining industry.
• Collaborate with various disciplines in the project environment while primarily focusing on the production environment.
• Possess knowledge of software programming relevant to the mining industry.
• Read instrumentation drawings accurately.
• Identify and rectify faults in instrumentation and PLC equipment.

 

Design

• Network layout design
• Panel GA layout design
• Loop drawings design
• P&ID design
• PLC design
• SCADA design
• HMI design
• Programming

 

Commissioning

• Overseeing all of the Instrumentation installation, testing and troubleshooting of equipment.
• MCC FAT’s
• Program FAT’s

 

Maintenance

• Trouble shooting of equipment failure.
• Trends analyzing.
• Programming and SCADA changes.
• Optimizing of process.

 

Additional Qualities:

• Excellent technical skills in control and instrumentation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exceptional planning abilities.
• Self-motivated with a mindset focused on completing tasks efficiently.
• Proficient in reporting and Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience in coal processing plants will be an advantage.
• Able to perform software installations on computer systems.

 

Education & Qualification:

• Min 2-5 years of experience in the mining industry with a technical background in processing plants
• In-depth knowledge in electrical, control and instrumentation systems
• Engineering Qualification – Diploma/BTech in Electrical/Instrumentation/Mechatronic/Electronic qualifications in the technical field.
