Main Purpose of Position:

As a Credit Controller – Reconciallition and Allocations Specialist, you play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless processing of daily payment allocations within 24 hours of receiving the respective remittance advice. Your responsibilities extend to reconciling accounts receivable, ensuring a precise match with reseller/partner accounts payable remittance advice. In addition, collaboration with the collections team is essential to support debt recovery efforts and address customer inquiries effectively.

 

Key Performance Areas:

1. Daily / Weekly / Monthly Allocation Target Met:

  • Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly allocation targets to ensure timely and accurate processing.

2. Daily / Weekly / Monthly Reconciliation Resolution:

  • Ensure daily reconciliation of accounts receivable, resolving any discrepancies promptly to maintain accurate financial records.

3. Internal and External Communication and Interaction:

  • Effectively liaise with customers for allocation purposes, collaborate with internal teams, and communicate with relevant banks to streamline processes.

4. Adjustments & Posting of Adjustment Batches:

  • Execute adjustments and post adjustment batches as required to maintain the accuracy of financial records.

5. Allocate Payments from the Bank Daily:

  • Implement daily allocation of payments from the bank, maintaining a real-time and accurate overview of financial transactions.

6. Work Closely with the Credit Controller:

  • Collaborate closely with the Credit Controller to ensure a clean and well-maintained financial book. Maintain clear and constant communication to uphold financial integrity.

 

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in credit control and daily payment allocations.
  • Strong understanding of reconciliation processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with adjustment processes and posting of adjustment batches.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and contribute to debt recovery efforts.
