Job Title: IT Change Manager (DBN)
Location: Umhlanga Ridge
Duties & Responsibilities:
A dynamic Managed IT Services Provider in Durban seeks self-driven, highly confident and customer-centric IT Change Manager with expertise in the knowledge of IT hardware & software. You will be expected to ensure that proposed requests for change are safe and fit for purpose, communicate and manage expectations during the planning and rollout phases while reviewing and advising on tactical solutions and managing the technical roadmap and schedules for project implementation. You must have Matric/Grade 12, a current A+ and N+ or equivalent Certification, be ITILv3 Foundation Certified, have an IT-related tertiary qualification, have 5+ years’ experience in a similar role & experience of change managing applications, end user devices, network infrastructure and telecommunications systems and services in an ITIL compliant environment with a solid understanding of the legal issues relating to IT e.g., Data Protection, POPIA Copyright and intellectual property rights, etc.
Change Management –
Document, maintain, and enforce the Change Management Team policies, processes, and standards.
Analysis and self-maintained knowledge of services, including a diverse range of technologies and third-party suppliers, to ensure that proposed requests for change are safe and fit for purpose. This analysis will include a comprehensive analysis of risk, business impact and continuity, backout plans, test plans, resource requirements and resource availability.
Scrutinize proposed change requests to ensure that the change is robust and that the impact on and risk to the organisation is minimal.
Manage the team and its service board by reviewing, assisting with, and performing Change Requests.
Develop, implement, maintain, and enforce Change Management policies and procedures to ensure that the entire organisation complies with these procedures where required.
Develop and present Change Management reporting as and when required.
Assist and guide the Change Team in the planning, organisation, and coordination phases of change management to ensure the best chance of success by the team, documenting any action plans where required.
Design and implement standardized change procedures and scopes for the team to maximize efficiency.
Communicate and manage expectations during the planning and rollout phases.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, but as well as third party suppliers, senior stakeholders, management, and key users.
Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure change implementations are delivered within agreed service levels whilst minimizing and risk to the company.
Advise and support the senior management team in developing IT change policy in accordance with the company’s business requirements, as well as responding to and providing direction for internal change, where necessary.
Review and advise on tactical solutions where significant change is to be managed regarding project ownership and delivery.
Management of the technical roadmap and schedules for project implementation.
Collaborate with and inspire the team the team to ensure that tasks and projects are completed timeously.
Attend weekly team meetings with teams and management.
Update the company Knowledgebase and Documentation as information is gained or where needed.
Customer Relationship Management –
Always promote and represent the brand and values.
Respond to clients’ requests as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Drive the development of strong relationships between the business and clients.
Contribute towards client satisfaction wherever possible.
Additional Responsibility –
Identify areas for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.

Grade 12 Senior Certificate.
Current-day A+ and N+ or equivalent Certification.
Professional qualification or equivalent experience in an Information Technology related subject.
Project Management Certification/ Qualification.
ITILv3 Foundation qualified.
5+ Years of industry relevant experience in a similar role.
A high-level understanding of PC software and hardware troubleshooting.
Working in an environment with SLAs, monitoring change performance against service level agreements, and participating in effective working relationships to deliver continuous improvement.
Experience of change managing applications, end user devices, network infrastructure and telecommunications systems and services in an ITIL compliant environment.
Understanding of the legal issues relating to IT e.g., Data Protection, POPIA Copyright and intellectual property rights, etc.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
Experience and ability to build strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
A strong customer service focus.
Good negotiation skills.

Good leadership skills.
Strong time management skills.
