Ecowize is looking for a skilled and competent Chemical Service Technician based in Saldhana.

 

 

 

 

Job Title: Chemical Service Technician – Saldanha
Location: Saldanha, Western Cape, South Africa

Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to ensure customer needs are met and to ensure that chemical application quality is maintain. The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing daily chemical usage, training the cleaning teams in terms of chemical usage and application, and monitoring stock levels.

Job Specification:
•Drive customer satisfaction.
•Manage chemical verification, dilutions and verify concentrations daily.
•Ensure adequate application training of cleaning staff.
•Manage chemical store and ensure good housekeeping,
•Manage chemical stock planning and forecast, as well as stock taking process.
•Setting dosing units, foaming units and do minor maintenance on these units.
•Do chemical residue tests on surfaces.
•Take swabs when needed and ensure delivery to laboratory.
•Working flexi hours and occasionally outside normal working hours.
•General administration duties as and when required.
•Identifying improvement opportunities

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
•Grade 12 / Matric
•Driver’s License and own vehicle is essential.
•Minimum 1 year of experience in the food production industry an advantage.
•Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office software – Outlook, Excel, Word

Required Skill Sets and Experiences:
•1-Year of experience in a similar role.
•Good understanding and knowledge of the cleaning industry and service orientated.
•Exceptional communicator both verbally and written.
•Logical thinker as well as strategic and organized.
•Ability to manage and delegate tasks and effective work with the operations team.
•Ability to solve problems efficiently and to be pro-active in identifying potential problems.
•Ability to work under pressure.
