The Finance Manager – Shared Services will be reporting directly to the CFO.
This position’s primary responsibility is ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness. If successful you will be working closely with the Senior Management team in a leadership role. You will be responsible to manage the shared services department and team.

High-level Job Objectives

5.Business process innovation – financial, operational, systems
1) Building relationships with key business partners
•Understand what the business requirements are and translate these to good efficient and effective transactional support.
•Provide sound financial and clear advice. Communicate findings to the team.
•Daily, weekly and monthly assessment reports and to make recommendations.
•Assist by answering queries daily.
2) People management of the Shared Services Team
•Ensure effective management of the team.
•Responsible for the shared services process and meeting deadlines.
•Maintain good working relationships within the finance teams and operations team.
•Ensure clear communications to the financial team and operations team.
3) Development of the individual team members and identification of high potentials
•Constant review of people’s development.
•Consider additional training where required.
•Identify potential individuals and develop of a career plan to ensure retention and promotion.
4) Management of the invoice/debtors function
•Manage all aspects of new contract order entry including approval, electronic filing, and set up. Ensure communicated to all parties.
•Ensure all financial contract addendums or changes are implemented (including annual increase).
•Manage full invoice function.
•Ensure all invoicing processing for the applicable month is completed by required deadlines.
•Effective management to reduce errors and disputes.
•Manage the collections teams including setting targets, tracking, and analysis of results.
•Ensure the dispute function is well managed and communication is clear between shared services and the operations.
•Ensure the cashbook function is completed timely.
5) Business process innovation – financial, operational, systems
•Continuously work on improvements in the transactional and operations business process.
•Review all business systems (finance and operations) for innovation and improvement.
•Develop and report targets to reduce these manual functions and processes.
•Responsible for the measurement of results.
•Must have min 5 years’ experience in the management of a collections team.
•General business exposure is essential.
•Previous experience in change management will be an advantage.
•Previous experience working in an operations environment is required.
•Degree in Financial Management is essential.
•Accpac (Sage 300) will be an advantage.
•Excellent communicator both verbally and written.
•Ability to manage and delegate tasks and duties to a large finance team.
•Good understanding and knowledge of the cleaning industry and service orientated.
