Both partners have a deep understanding of the core components required to establish successful, self-sufficient, independent business owners who are able to provide quality education.

Job Title: Business Mentor
Job Location: Durban

The purpose of the position is to assist school principals with running financial and business operations in their schools, registering schools, applying for government subsidies and meeting DSD requirements.

Responsibilities:

Monthly financial mentoring:

• Financial mentoring of the Educare Centres:
  • One on one with each Principal each month to review Budget vs Actual
  • Capture actual and discuss the next month’s revenue and expenses
  • Monitor franchisee deposit and franchise fee payment on monthly basis
  • Review each Centres progress with Regional Implementation Manager
  • Report on a monthly basis i.e. summary dashboard, summary of outstanding’s for registration, key performance indicators etc

Business Operations Management:

• Financial file
  • Hand out and explain the financial monthly reporting process to all new franchisees
  • Ensure the franchisee understands how to make a payment / debit order for franchise fees on a monthly basis
  • Ensure Franchisee understands the Insurance Policy and requirements thereof
• Admission File
  • Manage annual new admissions process in September each year
  • Prepare admission packs, distribute and explain process
  • Hand out admission file and explain how it will be used
  • Do annual review to ensure it is being used correctly
• Staff file
  • Setup up and train franchisees on staff file

• Do annual review to ensure it is being used correctly

Business Plans:

• Complete a business plan per Centre for the purposes of registration with the Department of Social Development

Government Subsidies:

• Assist all Centres who want to pursue the Government Subsidy – application and reporting submission process

Projects:

• Training
• Co-facilitate “Me and My Money” to all new franchisees
