Our client, a leading fastener distributor, is looking for an experienced and presentable IT Technician in Durban (KZN) area.

Job Title: IT Technician
Location: Durban

Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Keep systems up to date through operating systems upgrades.
Monitor networking equipment and servers.
Monitor network availability, and security.
Provide helpdesk support to users
Respond to IT issues; hardware maintenance, software, networking, etc.
Set up equipment for new users.
Install, test, and monitor servers, workstations and software.
Perform data backups.
Server installs, LAN/WAN technologies, computer repair/troubleshooting software, networks, virus protection, Wi-Fi technology, and more.

Desired Experience & Qualification:
Must have grade 12 (Matric)
Diploma or other related IT professional certification (MCSE etc.).
Windows Server Operating System, configuration, install, management skills would be beneficial
Previous experience as a help desk technician, computer technician, or IT support.
Experience working with network and server management support.
