Global leader in the design, development and manufacture of specialised materials used in a variety of industries seeks and experienced Systems Engineer at their plant in Springs.

For the position you would be required to have:

• B. Tech in Electrical Engineering or B. Eng/B. Sc in Electronic Engineering with focus on Instrumentation and Control.
• Minimum of 5 years maintenance and project management experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Experience in programming and troubleshooting of Siemens PLC systems.
• Experience with the control and monitoring of OEM systems.
• Ability to develop SQL server reports.
• SCADA implementation and production rollout.
• Ability to manage team leaders and artisans

Responsibilities would include you to:

• Software development on PLC control systems
• Develop production dashboards
• Machine and process automation
• Provide technical support for site control systems
• Implement manufacturing systems
• Manage contractors
• Ensure documentation is maintained and up to date
• Interpret and present process data
• Ensure maintenance strategies are in place and adhered to and breakdowns are repaired timeously
