Our Southern East Africa Cluster is looking for an ambitious, business and commercially minded Business Controller who will form part of the Cluster Finance team based in Cape Town.

The successful candidate will ensure and establish proper internal controls and manage financial risk issues relating to shareholders and ensure compliance with local Law, local regulations and APMT’s strategy and culture throughout the cluster. The incumbent will be expected to implement, maintain and improve the control environment to ensure accurate and complete accounting and reporting for the Cluster in terms of the control framework.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have a post-graduate qualification, in Finance with experience in compliance within a financial environment. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of financial reporting, and in addition, will have a high sense of responsibility, future oriented and able to adapt to change to take the lead in process improvement. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have drive and work well under pressure within tight deadlines. The incumbent will have strong interpersonal skills and know how to network across functions within the Cluster. A good understanding of the business in order to define, measure and report on key indicators is essential. Strong analytical skills with a focus on P&L in order to identify cost saving opportunities and efficiency gains is a prerequisite for success in this role.
