New Media, SA’s leading content marketing and tech solutions agency, has an exciting opportunity for a digital marketing analyst. This position reports into our Head of Business Intelligence. This individual will maintain and optimise web and social media analytics platforms, as well as analyse paid media campaigns, with a focus on platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Data Studio.

 

The purpose of this role is to become an analytics specialist in the business, providing data-driven insights that will enable the achievement of New Media’s overall goals and drive decision-making across our internal brands and for external clients.

Key Functions include: 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the reporting requirements in order to provide them with support.
  • Collect high quality data
  • Conduct analysis and interpret the results of the analysis
  • Collate the results, create reports of the analysis and present insights to relevant stakeholders
  • Build dashboards in Google Data Studio
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on digital marketing trends, technologies and compliance.
  • Perform research and constantly stay on top of industry trends.
  • Actively look for opportunities to improve through stretch assignments and continuous learning

What you should have:

  • At least three years of experience with Google Analytics
  • Google Ads and basic social media advertising knowledge
  • Experience with building dashboards
  • Experience in supporting marketing teams to optimise their campaigns
  • Ability to work independently, but be a team player
  • Ability to effectively communicate project outcomes to stakeholders
  • Analytics platform certifications would be an advantage.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Desire to take initiative with the ability to take responsibility for actions and ownership over tasks and duties
