Vacancy Details

Our leading client in the FMCG Sector is looking to employ a Quality Manager to join their dynamic team in Kwa-Zulu Natal (Newcastle).

Job Description: 

• Management of all QC staff (including on-site laboratory), 13 direct reports.
• Ultimately responsible for QMS Management
• Responsible for all internal and 3rd party audits – with preventative and corrective action implementation
• Responsible for supplier audits
• Responsible for all risk assessments (TACCP, VACCP and HACCP)
• Initiate root cause analysis studies in conjunction with Head of Technical
• Drive company Quality Culture
• Hands-on approve with line QC
• Training of all staff on Quality – according to training matrix
• Ensuring all incoming raw material are in accordance with pre-defined specifications
• Ensuring full product traceability and aid Production Managers
• Artwork verification and sign-off
• Assist NPD with new initiatives, factory trials, document implementation, training and final sign-off.

Job Requirements: 

• Btech- Biotechnology
• Quality Control – Minimum 5 years
• Staff Management – Minimum 3 years
• Extensive experience in FSSC22000.
• Extensive experience in HACCP.
• SANBWA experience beneficial.
• Beverage experience beneficial.
• B.Sc Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology
• Extensive experience in HACCP.
• Extensive experience in FSSC22000
• Experience with development and management of Quality Management Systems.
