An industry leading provider of structured cabling and ICT infrastructure solutions. which is based in the Gauteng province and within Centurion, is recruiting for an experienced and skilled Accounting Assistant
Experience
The successful incumbent must possess at least two (2) years’ experience operating in an accounting role.
Formal qualifications
- Matric (grade 12)
- Qualification in Accounting
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Package (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc)
- Proficiency in management systems (SAGE Evolution) is required
- Valid driver’s licence code 08
Responsibilities
- Billing, invoicing and processing of credits
- Liaising with Operational Department and project managers to resolve outstanding queries
- Collection of outstanding payments owed by debtors
- Sending out of monthly statements to customers
- Sending out of invoices / PODs when requested by clients.
- Liaising with clients with regards to outstanding debt and payments
- Administration of debtor accounts
- Processing of invoices from bill of materials and/or quotations
- Handling communications with clients via phone, email, and in-person
- Performing basic administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing emails, etc
- Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies
- Ensuring compliance with accounting and tax laws
- Evaluating internal management systems, procedures, and risks in order to provide recommendations
