One of the global leaders in laboratory testing, certification and verification is looking for a Tax and Finance Compliance Manager to join their dynamic team.

The Tax and Finance Compliance Manager conducts, manages and oversees the tax function of all entities within the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) region, according to the laws for that jurisdiction, in order to ensure that they are fully tax and statutory compliant.

 

Job Objectives:

• Continuously review and provide ongoing advisory support for tax planning purposes to ensure that the company remains tax compliant and avoids non-conformance.
• Proactively analyse, identify, review and report on potential Tax Risks.
• Continuously provide advisory Tax support and advice to relevant departments and personnel, in order to ensure continued Tax compliance.
• Prepare and monitor Tax calculations and returns submission, in order to ensure timely and up to date payment of Tax.
• Effectively liaise with external Tax Statutory Partners to ensure that the required Tax support is provided as requested.
• Review and oversee all monthly Tax reconciliations and reporting, to ensure Tax returns and Financial records balance.
• Continuously review and ensure that the Tax function is fully compliant with relevant and current statutory and legislative requirements.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• BCom Accounting/Tax Honours
• HDip Tax or MCom Tax (desirable)
• 5-8 years Tax experience
• 2-3 years’ experience in a Managerial role
• Relevant tax legislation experience
• Experience with various African countries (preferred)
• Knowledge of SAP Business One (preferable)
