The Godfather of all insurers is looking for an Actuarial Guru to be the leader they were destined to be and provide strategic direction in formulating the actuarial business model and strategy, influencing and enhancing customer experience.

Your responsibilities include assisting in managing a team of technical modelers and mentoring the members to achieve the team’s goals. These goals include the creation, adjustment, maintenance, and review of the department’s actuarial Prophet models and providing technical support to users of the Prophet modeling software.

 

Job & Company Description:

• Development and maintenance of Prophet models (and related tools) used in the valuation process, solvency calculation, and related calculations
• Review and enhancement of specifications for model changes
• Rigorous testing of model changes to meet or exceed clients’ needs
• Model governance and comprehensive documentation
• Support the implementation of models into Production environments by delivering quality models on agreed-upon dates, and engaging with valuation teams should issues be encountered.

Education:

• Bachelors degree and Professional Qualifications: Actuarial Science
• Nearly or Qualified Actuary (Fellow)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 5 years + experience in Life Insurance preferred
• Prophet modeling software experience will count heavily in your favour
• Familiar with concepts such as Embedded Value, Regulatory Capital, Liability Valuation
