Strategic Human Capital Division of Rand Water

OPERATIONS MANAGER
(O-Band)

 

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

Accountable for the development and implementation of strategies, plans and processes to support the
strategic goals of the division and managing its operations.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
 Develop needs assessment and create an institutional design, processes with appropriate delivery methods
 Responsible for all programmes run by the Division, including collaboration programmes
 Contribute to the development and implementation of the department’s strategies, policies and procedures.
 Oversee the training and development function
 Ensure full installation of all training facilities, resources and equipment
 Keep abreast of legislation impacting the Division’s objectives
 Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organization’s vision, mission and strategic objectives.
 Support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and departmental planning.
 Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.
 Ensure compliance to the quality management system.
 Ensure an effective and efficient oversight on financial requirements (Opex, Capex, Supplementary, etc).
 Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
 Drive initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
 Project Management
 Partnership and client management
 Providing Customer satisfaction whilst keeping costs within budget limits

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
 Relevant Bachelor’s degree,
 5 years’ experience in a management capacity.
 Computer literacy with extensive SAP experience.
 Strong leadership experience.
 A management qualification will be an added advantage.
