Key Performance Outputs:
Manage Request For Bids/Proposals (RFX) processes and review and/or approve all documents going out for quotations, tender and/or adverts and submissions to the tender committee.
Manage human capital by ensuring that the procurement staff keeps abreast of all the new developments in the Supply Chain Environment.
Ensure that Request For Bids/Proposals (RFX) lead times are adhered to (order fill rate, requisition, purchase orders, contracts) and manage buyers KPIâs.
Monitor adherence and compliance by buyers and business to internal procurement policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with Legislations relating to Procurement activities.
Ensure the efficient management and control of function / resources in accordance with the stipulations of the PFMA, fraud prevention and risk management principles, corporate governance, legislation, company policies, processes, regulations, Delegation of Authority, etc.
Manage procurement escalations from end users.
Review contracts and all procurement documents before relevant signatures.
Respond to supplier queries.
Participate in contract negotiations and tender negotiations.
Manage and promote spend with BEE suppliers and SMEs.
Identify repeated requests that can be established into contracts
Technical Skills and Experience:
BTech or BCom Degree with Supply Chain or Logistics and Purchasing Â Management as a major
5-10 years Procurement Management experience in a medium to large organisation
Advanced knowledge of all Logistics and Purchasing operational processes.
Knowledge of rules, policies and procedures Â Â related to Procurement function. Â
Knowledge of International Procurement.
A thorough knowledge and understanding of the relevant system functionality / specifications
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Projects.
Working on Oracle System Application will be an added advantage.
The ideal candidate will portray exceptional leadership and management skills.Â The candidate must be a creative thinker, able to think strategically and analytically and have excellent problem solving skills. The candidate must be computer literate. Candidate must portray time management skills.Â Have the ability to work under pressure.Â Planning and organising skills and good communication skills are essential.Â The candidate must also possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and supervise.
