REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with 7 years’ experience in a Social Work
environment. Knowledge and understanding of legislative, policy, Procedures and
processes related to Social Work in the Social Welfare Sector. Knowledge and
understanding of Social Work values, principles, procedures and policies. A driver’s
licence. Skills and Competences: Good team work, Communication and Problem
solving skills. Sound research, Networking, report writing and Project Management
skills. Excellent planning and organizing skills. Excellent in depth knowledge of Social
work legislation, policies and ethical practices governing field and intake
programmes. Knowledge of Social Work empowerment interventions.


DUTIES : Provide guidance on Social Work legislation and Policy. Interpret Social Work
legislation for implementation in areas of Field and Intake. Manage Social Work
Interventions. Plan the provision of resources for promotion of Social wellbeing and
functionality of communities. Monitor the implementation of Social Work operational
plan on field and intake programmes. Develop preventative measures for alleviation
of distress to individuals, groups, families and communities. Manage the preparation
of quarterly performance information on field and intake programmes. Manage staff
training, development, performance and leave plans.
