Vacancy Details

One of the oldest farms in the Cape Winelands area is looking to employ a Head of Commercial Finance with a CA or CIMA qualification to manage their finance team.

DUTIES:

• Manage the operating finance function across the business.
• Manage the finance team
• Formulate and implement the long-term financial strategy of the business
• Oversee financial reporting, including management accounts, annual accounts, weekly sales and cost and stock reporting.
• Annual business planning and performance monitoring
• Working closely with business units to improve performance, including improving sales and margin, identifying cost control opportunities and eliminating inefficiencies
• Ensure the accuracy of stock across the business.
• Lead the annual accounts and audit process and serve as the key contact with external auditors
• Implement and enforce robust financial control systems
• Integrate front of house, point of sale, e-commerce, stock and HR systems with financial systems
• Identify, address and monitor any financial risks to the business
• Undertake internal audits on key risk areas across the business and drive improvement
• Ensure that budgets are adhered to
• Oversee company secretarial matters, including board reporting and annual returns

REQUIREMENTS:

• CA or CIMA qualification (Essential)
• 6 years’ post-article experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Afrikaans home language and English
• Commercial knowledge and skills
• Familiar with the latest IFRS knowledge
• Working knowledge of ERP, SAGE X3 and WMS applications and processing
• Experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment
• Experience in financial accounting and monthly management reporting
• Excellent numeric, analytical and statistical competencies
• Must have strong business administration skills
