Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
Understand the market and competitive trends; monitor key industry developments
Identify and understand customer problems; priorities features and tasks; build consensus around product roadmap
Own the product KPI dashboard; set goals and monitor progress; initiate corrective action where necessary
Work with the Marketing team to develop acquisition, growth, and engagement strategies
Drive customer research and translate insights into action
Develop end-to-end UX; test and iterate
Work with Marketing/PR to optimize customer acquisition and conversion
Develop customer service team to support customer onboarding, and address T&S concerns

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution (computer science, electrical engineering, business)
7+ years experience in end-to-end product management for online products or services, with exposure to relevant technologies and tools, across the web and native mobile app product development
At least some of this experience would be expected to have been in a start-up environment
Bonus points if you have also worked with instant messaging-type products before, and also for or with large telco’s
Solid understanding of current best practices when it comes to the finer detail of what drives successful adoption and engagement
Fluency in English is a must. Bonus points if you can speak/write one of the more popular languages across Africa (e.g., French, Igbo)
Some (limited) national and international (Africa) travel will be required
