ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER: HUMAN RESOURCES
(Overberg District)
SALARY : R 170 799 per annum
CENTRE : Caledon Hospital, Theewaterskloof Sub-district
REQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent). Experience:
Experience of PERSAL Salary Systems and Personnel Management and Recruitment and Selection. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good written and communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Extensive PERSAL knowledge and experience. Computer skills in MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Outlook and PERSAL. Proven knowledge of and exposure to the duties and responsibilities of a personnel administration section. Knowledge of applicable policies, legislation, guidelines, standards, procedures and applicable practices. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

 

DUTIES : Key result areas/outputs: Manage an effective personnel and salary
administration function in the Human Resource Component. Co-ordinate and
facilitate effective Labour Relations function at the institution. Co-ordinate and
facilitate the HRD functions at the institution. Administer and ensure effective and
efficient implementation of Human Resource Management policies and
prescripts. Approve PERSAL transactions. Train all occupational groups at the
institution regarding HR matters. Keep registers of Human Resource matters, i.e.
PILLIR, RWOPS and Probation reports.
