Purpose of the role To provide specialist employee/labour relations advice to Capitec Bank employees and management on all aspects of Employee Relations related matters and ensure that Employee Relations policies and procedures are adhered to
Qualifications
National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational)
A relevant 3 year degree / diploma in Labour Law / Industrial Relations
A relevant post-graduate qualification in Labour Law / Industrial Relations would be ideal
Experience
At least 2 years’ specialist experience in providing Labour / Employee Relations specialist advice
Proven experience in conducting conciliations and arbitrations at the CCMA
Proven experience in conducting, initiating and chairing disciplinary hearings
Knowledge and skills
Knowledge of employee / Labour Relations practices & procedures, legislation related to Employee Relations and processes of conducting conciliation and arbitration at the CCMA
Knowledge of the Processes of conduction of disciplinary hearings and processes of investigation
Intermediate MS Word, Intermediate MS Excel, Intermediate MS Powerpoint, Internet, Outlook)
Communication skills (verbal and written) in English
Facilitation and presentation skills
Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Problem solving skills
Analytical skills
Planning and organizational skills (ability to prioritise)
Administrative skills
