Description of Role:The role is vital to the Firm, as you will become an important member at the core of a dynamic team, committed to providing the highest quality of best practice Human Resources solutions.

Key Responsibilities:• Provides strategic input into general management and business leadership;
• Contributes to overall strategy of business area and its implementation with particular focus on HR strategy;
• Identifies and sources the right people solutions to meet the strategic imperatives of the business.

Qualifications & Experience:

Experience in an HR leadership role is essential.  Experience in a line management role would be a distinct advantageQualifications:
• A qualification in a Business or Human Resources discipline
• A qualification in a numerate discipline eg Finance, Economics

Skills and Behavioural Attributes:

Makes a significant contribution to the general management of the business area
• Demonstrates strong visible leadership broadly within the business area, and of the HR function in particular
• Makes a meaningful contribution to the development and implementation of the business area strategy.  Ensures that the strategic imperatives of the business are met
• Develops HR Strategy and Operating plans within own business area, ensuring that these are aligned with the wider Firm
• Ensures that their BU possesses an effective internal communications plan to support the achievement of business strategy and transformation
• Identifies the key strategic people levers which drive performance in the business area
• Manages the relationship with the COE/HRSSC, building networks and developing relationships
• Sources the best fit people solutions from either the COE or SSC ensuring the highest quality and best value for money for their business
• Acts as coach to the BU leadership with specific regard to their own leadership and BU performance
• Demonstrates excellence in coaching and developing top teams
• Provides insight into people issues within the business area, possessing a challenging, robust point of view with regard to business decisions and their impact upon people
• Ensures that the firm-wide strategic people priorities are met within their business area eg Talent Management, Performance Management, Leadership Development
• Acts as a unifying force within the broader HR community ensuring that the HR function provides a visibly seamless service to the EY client base
• Understands contemporary OD Practice, and acts as an agent for change within their business area, ensuring Organisational Design (OD) interventions drive business transformation and change with particular regard to developing an organisational culture which supports the goals and objectives of the wider Firm
• Ensures that all necessary people management and development activity required to support the business is delivered in the most professional and effective manner eg Performance Management (PMDP) In conjunction with COE, develops and implements solutions to drive high performance across the business area, ensuring appropriate measurements are in place
• Contributes to firm-wide thinking on People issues
• Acts as an integral part of the governance of the HR function
